What does a Christmas party in Copenhagen cost?

Why there are two prices
The menu alone is 375 kroner per person, whichever of the two you choose. With an open bar it is 825 per person for three hours or 925 for four. We give all of it, because most places in town quote only the food and add the bar afterwards .. and then 675 kroner turns into 1,400 when the bill arrives.
If you are comparing us with somewhere else, check what is included in their figure. A fixed amount per person is also easier to get approved than a food price plus a bar bill nobody knows in advance .. and that is usually what decides whether the party happens at all.
If you are looking for a Christmas party in Copenhagen where the price is clear up front, we are one of the few places that writes it down. 925 kroner per person covers the menu and four hours of open bar, and that is cheaper than most all-inclusive Christmas parties in the city centre.
If you would rather run the drinks on consumption we will do that. Then we set an amount at which we tell you, so the bill is not a surprise for whoever has to approve it.
What the menu is
Two menus at the same price, 375 kroner per person. One is a French-inspired three-course menu from our chef; we settle the exact menu together with you, and we are happy to adapt it for allergies or wishes. The other is our classic charcuterie table: 5 cheeses, 5 kinds of charcuterie, bread, tapenade, olives, Portuguese sardines and a little salt and sweet, topped up all evening.
The French menu is for an evening where the food is an event in itself. The charcuterie table is for an evening where people want to move around and talk. The price is the same.
What is in the open bar
450 kroner per person for three hours, 550 for four. Beer, wine up to 100 kroner a glass, soft drinks and cocktails: Lillet spritz, gin and tonic, Dark 'n' Stormy, gin and mango, vodka and rooibos, rum and cola, and vermouth. We pour from the moment you arrive, and nobody orders or pays along the way.
Three hours suits a party that is heading on into town afterwards. Four hours is for an evening where the party is here. If you stay longer, the rest runs on consumption.
Outside the package: bottles from the full list, cocktails and spirits. If you want a particular bottle on the table with the food we will put it there .. it is simply billed separately.
The whole bar from twenty people
If you are twenty or more and take the menu and four hours of open bar at 925 kroner per person, the whole bar is yours at that price, Fridays and Saturdays in December included. With three hours of open bar it is 825 kroner per person.
If you are fewer, or want the bar without the open bar, there is a minimum for the evening, because we close for our normal trade: 20,000 kroner on Fridays and Saturdays in December, 15,000 on Fridays and Saturdays the rest of the year and 13,000 on weekdays.
Under twenty people you can always have one end of the room with no minimum. If you are holding a New Year lunch in January or a delayed Christmas party, it is both easier to get a date and cheaper to hold.
What the price covers
Included: the whole bar to yourselves, staff all evening, the tables laid, glassware, your own music and the outdoor area under the awning. There is no room hire, no hourly rate, no cleaning fee and no service charge .. the price is the food plus the drinks. Nothing else.
Not included: cake, flowers and an outside musician. We are happy to help arrange them, but they sit outside the price and are billed separately. And we do not take wine you bring yourselves .. we have a list of over a hundred bottles, and they are what we live on.

If you have a quote from somewhere else, send it along. We will say honestly if we cannot match it, and just as honestly if you get more for your money here.

Ask early
The popular dates go first, especially Fridays, Saturdays and the whole of December. If you are after a particular day, ask early .. and ask anyway, even if it is in a fortnight. Sometimes there is simply room.

- With three hours of open bar: 20,625 kroner. With four hours of open bar: 23,125. Both are the whole bill .. there is no room hire, hourly rate or service charge on top, and the bar is yours. The menu alone is 9,375, and then you buy drinks from the list.
- Are you cheap compared with other Christmas parties in Copenhagen?
- Yes, when you compare all-inclusive prices. A Christmas party in central Copenhagen with food and drinks typically runs between 1,500 and 1,750 kroner per person. With us it is 925 for the menu, four hours of open bar and the whole bar. Most places quote only the food and add the bar afterwards, so always check what is included in the figure you are given.
- Is room hire included in the price?
- There is no room hire. The price is food plus drinks, and the whole bar, the staff, the tables laid and the outdoor area under the awning come with it.
- Can we bring our own wine or cake?
- Cake you are welcome to bring, and we will find plates. Wine we do not take .. we have a list of over a hundred bottles, and it is what the bar lives on.
