This is the place
We opened in 2022 and work behind the bar ourselves. We are a five-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station, the front onto Istedgade stands open when the weather allows, and there is no dress code and no need to book.
The list runs to 48 bottles and changes as we go. Mostly European, a good share organic and low-intervention, and always something open by the glass so you can taste before you choose.

Efterårsjævndøgns-naturkoncert: Solplet
Oplev femmandsbandet Solplet, når de fylder Vesterhus med deres ublu blanding af prosapop og folky R’n’B – en jagt på lysglimt gennem hverdagens tunge skymasser. Aftenen byder desuden på et særligt samarbejde med forfatter Frida Sonne, der læser op over improviseret musik og giver en eksklusiv forsmag på sin debutdigtsamling, AT DRUKNE FISK.
The wine
The list changes all the time. A mix of classic European styles and funkier low-intervention bottles – basically whatever we think tastes good right now.
The food
Simple, high-quality plates that go well with wine. Our bread comes fresh from our neighbours at Bageriet BRØD, and the cheese and charcuterie come from Gastronomer, who import directly from France and Italy.
Things happen here
Good wine sounds better with good music. We host intimate concerts, wine tastings and informal wine school – and the walls change as we go with work from houses, artists and partners. We also run our own blues week, Vester Blues.

We tell you before the seats are gone
Wine tastings and concerts open for booking in the newsletter before they go up on the site. There are forty seats in the bar, so being on the list is a real advantage. Nothing else in your inbox, and not very often.
