Terms for events

These apply when you hold a private event with us. We have kept it short so it can actually be read.

Booking and prepayment

  • A booking is only binding once we have confirmed it in writing.
  • We charge 20 % of the agreed amount up front. The rest is invoiced after the event.
  • The prepayment covers taking the date off our calendar so it cannot be sold to anyone else.

Minimum spend

  • If you hire the room, we agree a minimum for the evening. It depends on the day and the hours, and it is stated in your confirmation.
  • The minimum applies regardless of how many people turn up. If you spend less, we invoice the difference.
  • If you spend more, you of course only pay for what you had.

Number of guests

  • Final numbers must reach us no later than 7 days before the event.
  • If we hear nothing, we go by the number in your confirmation.
  • If more people arrive than agreed, we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee seats or food for them.

Cancellation

  • The prepayment is not refunded. The date has been off the market.
  • If you cancel later than 14 days before, we invoice the agreed minimum.
  • If the event cannot go ahead because of an order from the authorities, we find a new date at no extra cost.

If we have to cancel

  • If we cancel, you get the full prepayment back.
  • We will help you find a new date or another venue if you want us to.
  • We do not cover your other costs arising from the cancellation.

Bringing your own food

  • You are welcome to bring your own food by arrangement. The room hire goes up in return, because we do not earn on food we do not serve.
  • We take no responsibility for food you bring: not for storage, temperature, allergens, or the state it arrives in.
  • Drinks must be bought from us. That is part of the basis for hiring out the room.

Liability and damage

  • You are liable for damage your party causes to the room, the furniture or the equipment.
  • We are not responsible for coats, bags or anything else you leave behind.
  • Our staff may refuse to serve guests who are visibly intoxicated. That follows from Danish licensing law and is not negotiable.

Your details

  • We use your name, email and phone number to answer your enquiry and run your event.
  • We do not sell them on, and we do not add you to the newsletter unless you ask us to.
  • You can write to us at any time and have them deleted.
