Run first, wine after
Vester Run is not a race. We meet at the bar, run a route through the neighbourhood and end up back in the same place, where there is something to drink and something to eat for those who want it. No timing, no bib numbers and no required pace .. the fast ones wait for the slower ones at the turn, and everybody comes back together. There is nothing to sign up for, just turn up in something you can run in.
The practical bit about the run
There is room to leave a bag inside while we are out, but no changing rooms and no showers .. most people run from home or change in the toilet. The route depends on the weather and how many of us there are, and it is rarely more than eight kilometres. Afterwards the bar is open like any other evening, so you can stay as long as you like or head straight home. Dates go out in the newsletter and on Instagram.
The practical bit
We are at Istedgade 29, a five minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station. There is no stage and there are no reserved seats .. if you want to sit down, come well ahead, because the room fills up around an hour before the music starts. The bar stays open between sets.
