What's around
Istedgade runs from Central Station out towards Enghave Plads. We are at the near end, close to Halmtorvet and Kødbyen. Tivoli is a ten-minute walk and the city hall is around the corner – handy if you are getting married and want to celebrate afterwards.
When is it best?
Wednesday and Thursday are quiet – good if you want to hear each other. Friday and Saturday fill up after 20:00 and stay lively past midnight. When there is live music people arrive early, so it is worth being here from 19:00.
Good to know
- Do I need to book a table?
- No. We welcome walk-ins and most evenings there is room. If you want to be sure – especially Friday and Saturday, or if you are more than four – you can book online.
- Do you serve food?
- Yes, small plates: cheese, charcuterie, bread from Bageriet BRØD, olives, Portuguese sardines and a grilled sandwich. Not a restaurant, but enough for a whole evening.
- Can I take wine home?
- Yes. Every bottle on the list is available for takeaway at 40% off the bar price.
- Is there anything without alcohol?
- Yes: alcohol-free IPA and sodas from Herslev Bryghus, kombucha, and an alcohol-free Secco on the wine list.
- Is there live music?
- A couple of times a month, and a whole week in October during our own festival, Vester Blues. Entry is always free.
