Rick Hauchman, known as "Ricky Boy," is a North Carolina-born musician whose journey has taken him from bluegrass roots in the U.S. to Copenhagen, where he continues to shape the local scene. Having played with bands like Big Fat Gap, Broke Mountain, Lowlife Brotherhood, and Space Dudes, his music spans bluegrass, folk, and psychedelic rock, with a strong emphasis on songwriting and collaboration.

On Days Off is a folk & roots duo blending old-time, country, western swing, and bluegrass with rich harmonies and playful storytelling. Their songs reflect everyday life with humor and heart, shaped by their deep connection to music as children of traveling street musicians. Blending original songs with reimagined folk classics, they bring a fresh yet timeless energy to the genre.

Copenhagen Jazz Festival: Richard Farrell

Richard has lived and breathed music for as long as he can remember, drawing inspiration from Irish legends like Van Morrison and Paul Brady, as well as greats like Stephen Stills and Nina Simone. After arriving in Denmark in 2015, he began busking on the streets of Copenhagen, his career took off, earning multiple Danish Music Awards with Trainman Blues and releasing his own acclaimed albums. He continues to collaborate internationally while playing with Sonic Saliva, Trainman Blues, and Buds.

Copenhagen Jazz Festival: Trainman Blues

Trainman Blues, founded by Irish singer/songwriter Richard Farrell and Danish producer/bassist Laust "Krudtmejer" Nielsen, blends blues, gospel, and soul with modern production techniques. With multiple Danish Music Awards under their belt, including Best Blues Album and Best Live Band, they’ve built a dedicated fan base across Denmark, Europe, and the US. Their latest live album, Live from the Station, was nominated for Best Album in 2022, and they continue to release new music, including Going Home, We Need Change, and No Shelter, with more on the way.
