DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening with a visitor from the Willamette Valle
 y in Oregon. John Grochau of GC Wines (Grochau Cellars) will be behind the
  bar himself\, pouring his own wines.\n\nJohn discovered wine in his early
  twenties\, racing bicycles for a French team in the Loire Valley. His rac
 es took him through Champagne\, Burgundy and the Loire. Back home in Portl
 and\, he spent more than a decade selling wine in the city's best restaura
 nts\, including the legendary Higgins. He then did a year in Sonoma and wo
 rked at Erath and Brick House\, and in 2002 he made his first vintage unde
 r his own name. His wines are made to go with food and to taste of where t
 hey come from.\n\nWe'll taste four of John's wines\, plus a sparkling and 
 a sweet wine from our own list\, chosen for the evening.\n\nEvent details:
